PARALLEL MOTHERS – the latest release from Spain’s film king Pedro Almodovar melds the role of women in modern Spanish society with a need to confront the history of General Franco’s brutal dictatorship. Combine Almodovar’s sensibilities and Penelope Cruz’s acting skills (this is their 8th film together) and you have an evening of cinema to be remembered.
